IQon Spectral CT

The world’s first fundamentally new spectral CT system based on a unique dual-layer detector design. It acquires data at two energy levels simultaneously while preserving temporal and spatial resolution in conventional scanning mode and allows spectral analysis to be performed retrospectively.

Features:

  • Simultaneous on-demand analysis
  • Unique NanoPanel Prism detector design
  • Multiple spectral analysis results displayed in PACS
  • High image quality and effective radiation dose management
  • iPatient platform for personalized imaging based on patient parameters

Simultaneous on-demand analysis

Only IQon Spectral CT supports the Spectral Magic Glass application, which allows up to five different spectral analysis results for the region of interest to be viewed and rapidly compared simultaneously when needed. These include Monoenergetic, Iodine Density, Virtual Non-contrast, Iodine no Water, and Z Effective results.

Multiple spectral analysis results displayed in PACS

Spectral Magic Glass on PACS launches conveniently directly from the viewing settings window of the user’s PACS system. Available only with IQon Spectral CT, Spectral Magic Glass on PACS provides a clear interface adapted to your organization’s current workflow and requires little or no specialized training.

Improved clinical efficiency

Discover new and promising analysis capabilities. The unique NanoPanel Prism detector design provides standard anatomical information, simultaneous color-coded quantitative analysis, characterization of structures, and monoenergetic image reconstruction data within a single scan. Any scan can be performed in spectral mode because spectral data are always available.

High image quality and effective radiation dose management

Consistent acquisition of high-quality images and delivery of patient care remain priorities. Users have full access to all radiation dose management tools available in standard scanning mode. In addition, our iterative model reconstruction technology, IMR, reduces image noise by 73–90%, producing virtually noise-free images and making it possible to obtain information that was previously unavailable because of interference.

Become a recognized leader in healthcare delivery

Analyze prospective and retrospective spectral data within the standard workflow. IQon Spectral CT provides a new and effective method for acquiring and using spectral CT data, helping your institution stand out from other healthcare facilities through the use of low radiation doses.

Patient-specific imaging and retrospective spectral analysis

The iPatient platform enables personalized imaging based on patient parameters and provides important benefits in radiation dose and workflow management. iPatient also supports retrospective spectral analysis, so no special protocols are required for spectral CT.

  • In clinical practice, IMR may allow the patient’s CT radiation dose to be reduced according to the clinical task, patient body habitus, anatomical location, and clinical conditions. A radiologist or medical physicist should be consulted to determine the radiation dose required to obtain diagnostic-quality images for a specific clinical task.

Noise reduction, improved spatial resolution, improved low-contrast detail detectability, and/or radiation dose reduction were verified using reference whole-body protocols. Phantoms were used to verify all performance indicators. Dose reduction was evaluated using 0.8 mm slices and the MITA CT IQ phantom (CCT183, The Phantom Laboratory) in observer studies.

** Spectral Magic Glass on PACS integrates with IntelliSpace PACS (iSite) and Sectra systems. ISP (SpDS) has also been integrated with several PACS systems, and open-interface documentation for standard integration can be provided on request to the local healthcare facility’s IT specialists or IT service provider.

IntelliSpace Portal expands the capabilities of Incisive CT through post-processing tools that support analysis of complex clinical cases, including cardiac examinations, screening, and dual-energy scanning.

Excellent image quality and intelligent dose control

The combined use of iDose4 and O-MAR improves image quality, while 70 kV scanning provides increased detector sensitivity at low contrast and confidence in results at a low radiation dose.

Patient care

Closer to the patient

New OnPlan touch-screen controls on the scanner gantry help improve patient care by allowing the technologist to perform more functions directly at the scanner, including the required pre-scan settings, thereby minimizing time spent away from the patient. Intuitive and automated workflow organization provides consistent image quality and rapid results.

Creating a supportive environment for patients and healthcare professionals

Philips Ambient Experience combines dynamic lighting, projections, and sound to create a supportive environment that reduces patient anxiety during procedures. In a study conducted at Jeroen Bosch Hospital, patient satisfaction with scanning procedures using Ambient Experience increased by 45%.

An intelligent approach to coronary artery disease care

A 30% improvement in temporal resolution for cardiovascular examinations is achieved through the fast X-ray tube rotation speed of 0.35 seconds.
